The Caribbean women’s team won the toss and elected to bat first in the match between India and West Indies as part of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup held in South Africa. India, who won the first match against Pakistan, hopes to win this match as well and take a step forward in the tournament. West Indies lost to England in their first match.
In this match being held in Cape Town, West Indies skipper Healy Mathews will win the toss and come into bat. If they lose in this match too, the team will have to give up their hopes for the World Cup.
Smriti Mandhana, who missed the team due to injury in the last match, will play in this match. Pacer Devika Vaidhya will also return to the team.
