Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, is launching a new podcast titled Confessions of a Female Founder in partnership with Lemonada Media. The podcast is set to premiere on April 8, 2025, and will consist of eight episodes released weekly.
The podcast will feature Meghan engaging in ‘candid conversations’ with successful female entrepreneurs who have turned their dreams into thriving businesses. The show aims to explore the successes, challenges, and personal stories of these women, while also offering insights into Meghan’s own entrepreneurial journey as she builds her lifestyle brand, As Ever, in collaboration with Netflix.
This marks Meghan’s return to podcasting following her previous series, Archetypes, which aired 12 episodes in 2022 under a $20 million deal with Spotify. That partnership ended in 2023 after reported tensions and unmet productivity expectations, with Spotify executive Bill Simmons famously calling Meghan and Prince Harry “grifters.” With Confessions of a Female Founder, Meghan is shifting focus to a new platform and a more specific theme – women in business, while supporting a female-founded company, Lemonada Media, known for producing shows hosted by figures like Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Sarah Silverman.
The announcement has sparked mixed reactions. Some are excited about Meghan’s return to podcasting and her focus on female entrepreneurship, while others, including critics on platforms like X, have accused her of lacking originality, pointing to similarities with existing podcasts like Confessions of a CEO. Her recent Netflix series, With Love, Meghan, which debuted in March 2025 and received lukewarm reviews, has also fueled skepticism about her media ventures. Despite this, the podcast promises a more personal and informal tone, described by Lemonada as “way more break room than boardroom,” and will be available on major platforms like Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and YouTube.
